Project Requirements

 

 

  • The HPVC team will utilize the creative minds of the members of the NAU ASME Chapter for vehicle design and fabrication purposes

     

  • The HPVC team will provide research, design, and analysis in the form of documents and CAD files for a finalized vehicle design

     

  • The HPVC team will complete a technical report as part of the requirements for the 2011 HPVC East

     

  • The vehicle will comply with all design aspects and safety guidelines listed in the 2011 HPVC rules

     

  • The vehicle will be fabricated to the best of the students' abilities

     

  • The vehicle will be able to achieve a minimum speed of 45 miles per hour on a flat riding surface

     

  • The vehicle will compete in the speed class of the 2011 HPVC East

     

  • The vehicle will be fully operational to compete in the 2011 HPVC East

     

  • The HPVC team will raise funds and maintain a budget for all vehicle and travel expenses

     

  • The vehicle will be a tandem bicycle that can be used easily in University Outreach Programs post-competition
