The team conducted a site visit on January 29th,
2025 at the SPA 1 WRF. The purpose of the site visit was to better understand
existing conditions, take photos to reference during design, and obtain the
make/manufacturer of existing equipment. Interviews with the staff who operate
SPA 1 WRF took place during the site visit where information relating to cost, the
facility, and treatment was answered. The team discovered at the site visit
that rags were getting through preliminary treatment and causing damage to
downstream infrastructure such as brush aerators.
