Testing, Results, and Future Considerations
• The team has verified through testing that the arm is strong enough to press an elevator button
• An arduino controls all 6 joints on the arm
• The wooden base for the arm is sturdy and high enough to reach the elevator button
• Serial communication needs to be set up between this Arduino and the Raspberry PI
• The converter box supplies steady 5V ±0.1V and 12V ±0.1V voltages
• A camera is added to the base of this arm
• The team verified that this camera has enough resolution to recognize numbers (e.g. elevator buttons, room numbers)
