Aaron is currently a senior at NAU in the department of mechanical engineering. He hopes to graduate in Spring of 2023 then start working out of college. He is looking at working in a company that deals with fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. On the side he enjoys mentoring a group of high school students in building robots for the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Simei is a Mechanical Engineering student at NAU who hopes to graduate on Spring 2023. He has learned knowledge and skills working as a framer and wishes to put them into practice by working at a construction company as a Field Engineer. He likes construction and thermal sciences, but he’s always interested in learning new things as well.
Dr. Dou is an assistant professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department at NAU. He received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo in 2017 and BE degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2012. Before joining NAU, Dr. Dou worked as a postdoc at Purdue University and Johns Hopkins University. He also worked as a research scientist briefly at the Canon Stroke & Vascular Research Center. Dr. Dou’s research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics and measurement method development, with applications on biological flows, biomedical devices, particle-laden flows, and fluid-structure interactions.
