Prototype Iterations
Effort 1
This design was updated due to the fact that it was not able to meet the required angles for the hydraulic rams.
Effort 2
This design iteration was updated because there was no room for a bottom plate and there was concerns about the structural integrity of the frame under loading.
Effort 3
This design was updated to be easier to manufacture and to optimize the usage of the materials.
Effort 4
This is the final design that our team designed. It was analyzed using finite element analysis software and it was determined to be able to withstand the applied forces and optimizes material.
***NOTE: The prototypes above will no longer be needed for our project since the client is no longer requesting a physical testing frame. Instead, we will be conducting our analyses through finite element simulations that focus on the bolts and bottom plate.
