Here are a few picture of our
final design. Our final weight was 18 lbs and only
cost us approximately $325 to build. Our wheels are quick release, so you press
a button and you can pull them off the chair. This allows for easy storage. Our
anti-tipping device in the back of the chair is about 1.5” off the ground.
There is a pin holding this in place so it can be either turned 180 degrees and
be out of the way or can be removed completely. The leg rest can allow the
child’s legs to be either parallel to the ground or in the standard position.
We added push handles that raise or lower. The breaks are slightly behind the
seat so an adult can access them easily.
