Introduction: The team is to design an efficient combustion air preheater for Nestle Purina plant at their Flagstaff facility. A combustion air preheater is a device or system that heats the incoming air to be burned by the boiler. This increases the efficiency of the system because less additional heat energy is needed for the combustion. The efficiency of the system is then increased because it uses energy of the recaptured waste heat of the system.
