Original Structural Design

  Key Points:

1.  Previously, each of the 4 corner wheels used two actuation motors - one drive and one steering.

2.  The use of two motors per wheel added undesirable mass and complexity to the rover.

3.  This temporary design eliminated the steering actuation motor, but required a manual user input to dis/engage the manual latch.

4.  This design is impractical and bulky.
