The Final Product

The final product of NAU Motor Systems senior capstone project will be a fully functional motor controller for use in electric vehicles to drive large DC brushless motors. The motor controller will be capable of handling a voltage range of 96-144 volts and at least 500A. It will be compatible with the standard designs used by Electric Blue Motors in their electric car conversions. Along with the prototype built for the project, all schematics, digital data, resources, spare parts and a detailed installation and users manual for the motor controller will be given to Electric Blue Motors. The main goal is for Electric Blue Motors to have all resources necessary to produce this product for use in their car conversions. The Land Rover that will be used for testing will also be given to Electric Blue Motors.
