Testing

The testing phase of the project has been started along with the prototype phase to meet time constraints. To make sure that each individual part of the design is working properly, a comprehensive test plan was created. The plan is listed below.

1. Get power supply configured and running using lab power supply as an input.

2. Get PWM logic running properly with throttle pot

3. Set up 2nd error amp with “dummy” signal to test with a fake current limit signal

4. Configure current sensing circuit with motor controller

5. Wire in current limit circuit with motor controller

6. Wire MOSFET Drivers

7. Wire MOSFETs

8. Wire motor to motor controller, lift vehicle onto rack and set to neutral

9. Reset resistor to change duty cycle control to allow for better resolution of acceleration

10. Test again and monitor heat dissipation of motor controller, specifically the MOSFETs

11. Test in vehicle, neutral on ground

12. Test drive

So far, steps 1 through 5 have been completed and the following steps are to be completed by April 20th.
