SHADOW MOUNTAIN FLOODING INFORMAITON
DESCRIPTION
Major stormwater runoff is occurring on the South of slopes of Mt. Elden. As a result the Shadow Mountain residents are experiencing devastating flooding destruction.

CUL DE SAC DRAINAGE DESCRIPTION
The only preexisting infrastructure found in the Shadow Mountain residential area, is a single catch basin located on the west end of the E. Appalachian Rd. cul-de-sac. All stormwater runoff coming into the cul-de-sac from Mt. Elden collects into the catch basin and then is transported through a double CMP culvert.

HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS DESCRIPTION
The ADOT Rational Method Tool was used to determine the natural runoff occurring in the Shadow Mountain area. This information was then used as a major design criteria for the final design.

SUB-AREA DESCRIPTION
To run the ADOT Rational Method Tool, the watershed was split up into three sub-areas less than 160 acres. These sub-areas are shown below where the sub-area outlined in magenta is sub-area 1. The area outlined in dark blue is sub-area 2. The area outlined in orange is sub-area 3.

ADOT RATIONAL METHOD TOOL DESCRIPTION
The discharge for the 100-year storm event was the design parameters used for the final design.
