About

This Senior Civil Engineering project is for the Northern Arizona University Civil and Environmental Engineering Program. The purpose of this project is to help the City of Flagstaff determine the best design for a new bar screen for their existing culverts. This is in response to the 2019 Museum Fire, which left a scar on the top of Mt. Elden. This scar caused an increase in debris to come down the mountain during monsoon season, clogging culverts and damaging channel infrastructure. This also led to flooding of the adjacent neighborhoods and commercial developments around the Flagstaff area.
