Wind Tunnel

Project Overview

The Wind Tunnel team, while not a formal component of the Collegiate Wind Competition, is tasked with creating a wind tunnel to be used for the coming generations of NAU students. This tool will allow for better project analysis to occur when observing the effects of aerodynamic properties such as:

• Turbulent Flow

• Aerodynamic Stall

• Laminar Flow

Beyond simply aiding in demonstrations for STEM courses held at NAU, the wind tunnel will assist in prototype testing for the Turbine team upon its completion., allowing the team to better refine their design before competition in May.
