The Competition
Who?
Teams of undergraduate students from 35 different schools across the nation. Over the competition's 3 phases, the best teams will be selected to move forward until only twelve teams remain to compete in the Department of Energy's annual Collegiate Wind Competition

What?
The Collegiate Wind Competition (or CWC for short) is held annually to challenge undergraduate students with problems related to the development and implementation of wind energy.Â

When?
The final event for the competition will be held from May 19th through May 22nd, 2025. It is during this period that each of the four categories (Turbine Design, Turbine Testing, Project Development, and Connection Creation) will be tested for each team.

Why?
This annual contest is held to encourage and inspire students to the prospects of wind and renewable energy, providing experience that will be valuable in future careers in the wind and energy sector.
