Our preliminary report discusses all research, benchmarking, and concept generation through october 15, 2021. Download the preliminary repoirt for a detailed description of the Ski Haus tow rope project thus far.
The final report depicts the standards, codes, and regulations necessary for implementing a tow rope device like ours on any mountain in the United States. These were evaluted based on the ANSI B77,1-2011. Also included are the testing proceedures that will be completed prior to the final design being completed. Similar to the Final presentation, a more comprehensive analysis of the design validation is included.
The 33% build update demonstrates the building process of the tow rope up until a third of the way through. These presentations slides show all purchasing and manufacturing updates as well. Images of the early stages of our welded frame are shown as well.
The 66% build update demonstrates the building process of the tow rope two thirds of the way through. It shows most of the build of the drive unit as well as the final cad of the drive unit. The top pulley was not fully finished.
The 100% build update demonstrates the building process once it was fully complete. All items to this point were purchased and built. The presentation includes a video of it working and pullying a person on a skate board.
The initial testing results presentation demonstrates the team testing the device's speed, weight, and portability. This presentation details the testing proceedures used as well as the results.
This presentation details the beginning through the end of the prject. This was presented at UGRADS and is a good representation and overview of the Ski Haus Tow Rope.
This is the poster presentated at UGRADS. It details an abstract, requirements, design iterations, analysis, manufacturing, results, and conclusion. Images show the final design.
