Hi my name is Bryce Conner. I am a senior at Northern Arizona University studying Mechanical Engineering. I am also seeking continue my education with a Japanese master's degree in Renewable Energy Laboratory. I joined the CWC in hopes of advancing my knowledge of turbines in the field renewable energy that has built up over the last several years. I one day hope to act as an international wind engineer that connects the United States and Japan. The CWC is a fantastic opportunity available to undergraduates that will set me on this path.
I joined this project to help further my engineering knowledge. I also am interested in renewable energy. This project interested me cause in a previous class, I worked on an electric conversion for a bicycle. I personally also like the idea of switching main sources of energy to renewable energy weather it be solar or wind power. Personally, I also am interested in hydroelectric dams, and underwater turbines.
I joined this project because I started on it in my junior year of college. At first it just looked really interesting to me but as I progressed through it I realized this is a chance for me to put my degree to good use. I could help build clean energy and do some preservation for the planet. I want to leave this earth better than I found it and that is why I joined the Collegiate Wind Competition project.
Hi my name is Aaron Zeek. I am a senior at Northern Arizona University studying mechanical engineering. I joined the CWC capstone team because of my passion for renewable energy systems and to also learn more about the wind power industry. I also wish to make a positive impact with my degree and leave the planet a more sustainable place.
I joined the Collegiate Wind Competition Capstone because I think that the world won’t be able to move in a positive direction until reliable renewable power is widely used. I wanted to work on this capstone to get a better idea of how the wind and energy sector works as well as what challenges are faced when creating a wind power plant.
I am Stanley Kennedy, a senior mechanical engineering student of Northern Arizona University. I have always had a fascination with energy, and energy systems, and knew that this project could propel me into that workplace so I can make a green and economic difference in the world. I hope to develop skills and connections throughout this project that will assist my urge to create more efficient energy production and distribution.
