Decision Ranking
The method used to determine the best design was using an equation below to weigh each design against the others for different criteria. The highest total determined which design was the best. The criteria used in the decision matrix are what the competition judges our design against other teams. Therefore, the equation used in the decision matrix for ranking is the same as the equation used for evaluating the competition. Â
The design accuracy criteria were if it met competition design requirements. Therefore it either was a 10 or a 0, where it did meet the requirements or it did not, and since all designs had to meet competition requirements, all designs received a score of 10.
