The links on the left will direct you to the various design considerations JPR engineering has proposed for the On-Site Waste Water Demonstration Site.

CM Slab
Hydrology Test Facility
Mini Baja Test Track
Construction Management Slab
Hydrology Basin

Below are some of the considerations we made to come up with our final design.

Decision Strategy
We will make our decisions based on the following criteria:

  1. How aesthetically pleasing is this alternative?
  2. Will there be time to design this alternative?
  3. How well will this fit the geometrics of the site?
  4. How well does this design meet the wants/needs of stakeholders?
  5. How cost effective is this design?
  6. Will any of the alternatives conflict with other groups using the area?
  7. What are the pros/cons that each design generates on the site?
  8. What is the expected time each design improvement will maintain its usefulness.
  9. Will upkeep/maintenance be an issue?
  10. What is the cost to benefit relationship for each design improvement?
  11. Are access / storage needs met?
  12. How much foot, vehicle, etc traffic will this design generate, i.e. will improved parking/driveway facilities be necessary?

Design Alternatives
Our design alternatives include the different location possibilities for the mini Baja test area, the construction management materials testing lab, and the hydrology demonstration sub-basin.  This includes the possible expansion of the current boundary of the OWWTP.  More alternatives include the exclusion of one or more of the above mentioned projects.  Possible roadway and parking improvements is another alternative that may be pursued.  A decision matrix documenting the decision process is included in the appendix to this report.
