Yes. As members of IEEE, it is our duty to help each other become better engineers and people. While there are often upperclassmen and graduate students around to help, be aware that they too have their own work to do. We often hold homework help sessions utilizing teachers, SIs, TAs, and knowledgable upperclassmen to help.

Yes. We accept membership regardless of major or area of study. Generally there's no problem with teams coming in and using the equipment or space to do academic work; so our rules are lax on this. If fridge items aren't getting paid for then the restrictions will get tighter regarding visitors.

Locker purchases can be made using the Kindle Fire in EGR-237 via the SquarePay app or online via the QR code provided near lockers and on walls throughout the engineering building. The fee is $5/semester and we accept card or cash. Please contact us through our email: [email protected] with your name, preferred locker, and receipt as proof of payment.

We are working on streamlining and future-proofing this process through online forms.

Textbooks are not allowed to leave the room without permission from our staff advisor or the president. They are free to use in-room and you're free to keep your own stored within the room or even donate them for others to use.

Our funds are used for purchasing hackathon kits, restocking the fridge (which turns profit), soldering kits, specialty equipment, materials for projects, and other lab room supplies. We're working on a system to allow further transparency with how money is spent.

Officer elections happen every academic year or each primary semester depending on the state of the world. The elections are traiditonally in-person during a meeting but have, in recent years, been conducted online. Leadership positions and their functions within the chapter can be found on the leadership page of this website.
