Chris Mason
My name is Chris Mason and I am a senior mechancial engineer at NAU. Ever since I was little I have dreamed of being a pilot but once I had learned I was a little too tall to fly airplanes for the airforce I then decided to pursue building them instead. Once I graduate my goal is to work for an aerospace company and since this project works along side Boeing it's like a dream come true for me. I cannot wait to show them how much our team can excel and hoepfully impress at the conclusion of this project.

I am drawn to the field of mechanical engineering by a profound desire to apply my diverse skill set and experiences to the dynamic and innovative realm of aerospace engineering. My background as a Detention Officer cultivated leadership, organizational prowess, and a meticulous attention to safety—qualities I am eager to channel into the meticulous demands of engineering. From optimizing heat exchanger designs for Boeing Apache helicopters to independently designing and testing a quadcopter, I bring a proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and innovation. Armed with a solid understanding of engineering principles and proficiency in industry-standard software, coupled with a genuine passion for contributing to cutting-edge aerospace projects, I am poised to leverage my skills, dedication, and adaptability to make meaningful contributions to the field of mechanical engineering and its advancements.
Dennis Decker
Hello, I'm DJ, a senior studying Mechanical Engineering at NAU. Upon graduation, my aim is to secure a position at an aerospace company. After gaining sufficient hands-on experience in the field, I plan to return for a Master’s in engineering degree to further enhance my expertise. My passion for tackling challenging projects has been a constant throughout my life, starting with the rebuilding of my first 2-stroke engine at the age of 14 and my business rebuilding and reselling off road vehicles following soon after. This experience solidified my stance that Mechanical Engineering is the perfect fit for me.
Lorenz Vios
My name is Lorenz and I'm senior mechanical engineering major at NAU. Ever since I was in middle school, I've always wanted to work in the aerospace industry, particularly commercial aircraft. Since then, I have improved my knowledge of fluid mechanics and aerodynamics and have taken it upon myself to learn more about these topics outside of school. Once I graduate, I aim to work for an aerospace company and build upon my passion for aerospace. In my free time, I enjoy Formula 1, saber fencing, and cooking.
