We have started prototyping by looking for the zenith angle in 2-D. The current prototype uses cardboard to hold
the solar cells, and an Arduino to process the data and output the Zenith Angle.
The next step was to create a device that can find the Azmith and the Zenith. This was done using a similar method as
above but with a different base holding the solar cells as seen below.
This is the 3rd prototype used in this project. It shows the system being condensed into a smaller box.
The example below shows different angles of the 3D printed design that we are planning to use as a finnished product for the project.
The following shows two bifferent films that were put over the sensors to get better readings.
The first is using solar filter paper and the second is useing ETP Roll-up Sunglasses lens.
