Shell Eco-marathon
The Shell Eco-marathon Americas are a competition hosted by Shell Oil for high school and college students held in Houston Texas in early April.
The goal of this competition is to create a vehicle with the highest mile per gallon/energy capacity.
The current record for this competition is 437.2 equivalent miles per gallon. This record is held by the Mater Dei High School’s Supermileage team from Evansville Indiana using an internal combustion engine.
