Experience

Mechanical

· IAV GmbH (Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr) Berlin, Germany (August 1998 - January 1999)

Worked as an intern on an engineering team responsible for adapting the Audi/VW V6 turbo-diesel engine to achieve the new European emission standards for 2000. Experience working with test beds and mobile data acquisition.

Computer

· UTSI International Corporation Houston, TX (May - August 2000)

Employed as an intern. Independently set up an Access database and data driven application. One feature automatically unzipped and searched text files for a specific client company and wrote the appropriate values from the data in the text files to the database. A second feature searched the database for values for a specific client company and produced graphs, which could automatically be appended a MS Word Document. All code was written in VB 6. Also set up a web component for the database which allowed clients to logon at the company website and view graphically information from the database pertaining only to their company. This was accomplished by writing an ActiveX DLL to produce the graphs in GIF format and by using ASP and server side scripting with VBScript to produce fresh images for each user request using the most up-to-date data in the database.
