GM^3 is a group of four senior Mechanical Engineering students from Northern Arizona University who are currently working on our Capstone Design project, which is the last in a series of four projects done over the course of study at the College of Engineering Technology at NAU.

The links in red on the left lead to the bio page for each team member. There you will find a link to each team member's resume in both HTML and MS Word 2000 formats. Feel free to check them out. Also, below you can find the the summaries of our bios and resumes just by mousing over the labels.

Mike Greene is our designated team leader. We are all capable technically and we all have management or leadership experience and qualities, however, we all feel that Mike is the best mediator for our particular group dynamics.

Our team strengths lie mostly in our individual communications and critical thinking skills, as well as in each individual's ability to work well with others. We also have several technical strengths in mechanical design and analysis spread between the individual group members. In particular, we all have completed ME 365 (Mechanical Design), Sky Moule and Zane Miller have both completed ME 484 (Design of Mechanisms) and Mike Greene has completed ME 450(Applied Thermodynamics). Our computer skills are also highly developed, mostly using to the typical Microsoft Office applications, but also in regards to programming and web page design. Mike, Sky and Karl are also all experienced AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop users.

Our greatest weaknesses lie in our lack of experience with FEA, and scheduling software. The scheduling software we don't see as a major problem, however our lack of experience with FEA could present problems later during the optimization phase of our project. This is a weakness that we intend to rectify throughout the semester by familiarizing ourselves with the Cosmos package at the College of Engineering.
