My name is Devin Fredrickson. I am 23 years old and reside from Boise, Idaho.  I plan to graduate from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering.  NAU was appealing to me for the impressive reputation the engineering program, the comfortable size of the school and town, it the hands on experience that engineering majors receive here. This project was a very exciting opportunity for me because it allowed me to work on a project that offered a variety of tasks for me to work on and improve my skills in, such as programming, design, and electrical wiring.  The idea of using the skills I have acquired during my time at NAU to improve the performance of an electric vehicle was very desirable for me too. Working on this project makes me very excited for my future in the field of electrical engineering.

Hello my name is David Glennon. Currently, I am an electrical engineering major planning to graduate in December, 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and minors in mathematics and physics. Northern Arizona University was attractive to me because of the small class sizes, location, and the good reputation of their engineering college. This project interested me because I am
a vehicle enthusiast and I’m interested in power systems and renewable energy technology. I think electric vehicles are a great way to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels but presently, most of them are not much fun to drive, or very efficient or feasible for mass production. This project is a great intro to the technology for me, and will help to generate interest in EVs and draw attention to the capable students of SAE-NAU through the Shell ECO competition.

Kamran sheikh

Hello, my name is Kamran Sheikh. Currently, I am an undergraduate student planning to
graduate in May, 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in
business and mathematics. Northern Arizona University was attractive to me because of the
small class sizes and the relationships that are built with fellow colleagues and professors. This
project interested me because I am a car enthusiast and I am interested in power systems, electric
drives, and renewable energy technology. I believe electric vehicles are a great way to reduce
our dependence on fossil fuels and become environmentally friendly. High performance electric
vehicles are a great way to generate interest in others, which can help in advancements in new
technology and our economy. I am very excited to be a part of such a large team working on an
eco-friendly vehicle.
