Project Schedule

Our schedule consists of many overlapping phases. Since we have only a limited amount of time, it is beneficial to work on different aspects of the project simultaneously.

Preliminary Phase - Sept ‘04- Feb 7th. ‘05

This is the project definition and design conceptualization phase. We will obtain a thorough understanding and definition of the project, perform research of existing similar projects, and experiment with provided hardware and software. We have hypothesized algorithms to meet the objective, and tested our ideas with Matlab.

Initial Client Status Report
This document outlined Team MOKA’s understanding of the client’s requirements and left room for later expansion and negotiation. It was delivered in December ‘04.

Final Proposal- Thursday, Februrary 17th.

Phase One: Research Algorithm and Tools Development – Dec. ‘04 - Feb. ‘05
Using knowledge acquired in the preliminary planning phase, algorithms and solutions will be developed and researched. We will make a final decision regarding our next step in conjunction with the client’s input.

Proposed Algorithm Summaries
This outlines possible algorithmic approaches for review and input of client.

February Conference
In this teleconference we will discuss progress to date and address any questions and concerns.

Algorithm Approval- Approval will occur with input from the client and a final approach will be selected.

Phase Two: Implementation of Algorithms - Feb. ’05 - Apr. ‘05
We will focus on implementing selected algorithms and testing with the final hardware.

March Progress Report
This document includes details on progress made and problems encountered.

March Conference
There will be a teleconference discussing progress to date in which questions and concerns will be addressed.

Phase Three: Hardware Analysis and Final Presentation Preparation – Apr 05
If time allows we will begin analysis of FPGA implementation.

Product Deliverable and Final Report
We will delivery the final product with hardware analysis, documentation, and any other requested material.

Capstone Presentation
We will present the final product at the capstone conference on Northern Arizona University campus in April ‘05.
