Flooding is the single most common and destructive natural disaster, causing over $3.5 billion in damage annually. It is only expected to increase in frequency, tripling by 2050, and current methods of detecting flooding are outdated and ineffective.

Our client, Dr. Eck Doerry, believes that a more effective solution is possible. With a combination of existing camera hardware and our computer vision component(s), real-time, accurate data about flooding could be collected and distributed appropriately. This would provide valuable time to warn areas of impending flooding, saving lives, and potentially millions of dollars of property or infrastructure damage.
