Northern Arizona University // Capstone Project
College of Engineering, Forestry, and Natural Sciences
About the Project: The project is located in Cornville Arizona on private property, owned by Andrew Lamer. There is currently a main house and a detached garage. The project is to span the gap between the house and the garage, with a new garage. When complete, there will be the main house, with an attached two car garage.
Scope of the Project: Andrews’s house currently has a small detached one car garage/root cellar. He would like to evaluate the feasibility of adding an oversized attached two car garage onto his current house. This project will require code research, property zoning research, surveying to ensure lot setback requirements are met, plan set development, and residential structural analysis/design.
