Project Introduction
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosts the annual Pacific Southewest Conference (PSWC) with the National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC) as one of its major events. PSWC 2018 will be located at ASU with NAU as a cohost. The event will begin on April 12, 2018 and end on April 14, 2018.
The objective of this project is to design and construct a concrete canoe to compete at PSWC. Participation in the event requires that the canoe meets specifications outlined by the Committee of the National Concrete Canoe Competition. Scoring is based on the final product, design report, oral presentation, and placement in races.
