Northern Arizona Unversity Steel Bridge
Purpose
The NAU Steel Bridge Team competes in the ASCE Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC) every year. The competition location changes every year and for 2016 the conference will be held in Long Beach, CA at California State University Long Beach. This competition is sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the student steel bridge competition is sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The competition is held for students across all the western United States. Every year, NAU designates a senior capstone to participate in the student steel competition to design, analyze, fabricate, and construct a 1:10 scale model of the steel bridge.
