Our software communicates with
processing equipment via a communication protocol called SECS.
We use a software package for simulating this communication called
SECSIMPro. SECSIMPro uses a language called SML to format the
messages. Typically we generate SML files by hand which is a
time consuming and tedious process. This project would be
developing a UI that would allow developers to easily and quickly
develop an SML scripts for use in testing.
Users would be able to generate
synchronous or asynchronous scripts, for use with different types of
testing. Users would have the ability to modify messages if
necessary for use by there equipment. Users would have the
ability to create custom scripts which reply only to specific
message values.
Project risks: We would not be able to provide a SECSIMPro
license due to cost, however a demo version is available but must be
re-installed after compiling scripts X number of
times. |
