“It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation in support of Courtney West. Courtney and I first met in April of 2018 when I responded to her pet sitting service. I called and Courtney promptly replied. Being the new owner of two puppies, I knew I would be extremely selective. We set up an appointment for an interview that afternoon. I knew the minute I met her she was the perfect person for the job. She came in smiling, was extremely personable and very professional. I was very impressed when she sat down on the floor and began playing with the puppies. She explained her services and listened to my concerns. We chatted for quite sometime about many different subjects. I felt I had known her much longer than the short interview time. Courtney's personality and calm demeanor gave me peace of mind. While one might say it's only a pet sitting job, what do you need for that? I disagree. There are many qualities that I consider before hiring anyone and is the same in my professional life as well. I look for someone who is personable and interacts well with people. Courtney does that and more. Someone who is honest and trustworthy. Courtney has both of those qualities. She is certainly a person I can trust in my home. Courtney has shown that she has goals and determination. In the course of the interview, she expressed that her goal was to become a mechanical engineer. I saw the passion when she spoke of her goal and her determination to excel in her classes. There was one evening in particular that stands out to me when she was pet sitting for us. We have an extremely large dove cage that was needing an addition as our population was expanding. When we came home that evening, Courtney had drawn complete plans dimensions included for extending the cage along with new flooring. I was extremely impressed with her willingness to help without being asked. To me that is the sign of a leader and someone who is fervent in her in her quest for engineering. Courtney has many admirable qualities. The quality that stands out to me is communication. Her ability to connect to communicate effectively with both people and animals puts her in special category.
