SAE Baja 2021
The Lumberjack Motorsport's team has divided the overall vehicle design into four subteams as drivetrain, frame, front, and rear end. As a result, we have been able to directly focus time and resources into every component of the vehicle.
The most rugged of all the collegiate design competitions, Baja SAE agives students the first-hand challenge of pursuing their passion while managing real-life demands and priorities. Each team's goal is to design and build a prototype of an all-weather, rugged, single-seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the nonprofessional weekend off-road enthusiast. SAE International is a global association committed to being the ultimate knowledge source for the engineering profession. By uniting more than 145,000 engineers and technical experts, we drive knowledge and expertise across a broad spectrum of industries.
Our team's goal is to create a successful and competitive 4WD Baja for the 2021 competition held in April. This will be the first 4WD vehicle to be designed at Northern Arizona Univeristy, and it will help to set a precedent for successfull 4WD vehicles to come.
