NAU Mechanical Engineering Fan Flyer Capstone Team
The project aims at developing a pitch control actuator for the fan blades. These fan blades will be used in fan flyer. Fan flyer is a personal VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft that can fit in a parking space and cruise quietly. The unmanned version of fan flyers can survey and spray crops, carry water to forest fires, or carry supplies to remote locations, supporting troops or rescue operations. These can play a very important role in areas where helicopters cannot operate, and where access by ground vehicles too slow or impractical. The main role of these pitch control actuator is to provide linear motion at a constant speed
