The scope of the project is to research, plan, design, and build a project to compete in the SumoBot Challenge at Northern Arizona University. No additional weapons are allowed to be on the robot, as the rules only allowing for pushing robots off the ring. Although there are initial size requirements, the robot is allowed to expand once the match starts. The robot cannot contain or expel any liquid, powder or gases.

The team is the sponsor of the project.
