The Engineering Requirements (ERs) are quantified measurements that encompass the CR parameters and tolerances. The figure above describes the list of ERs according to Target/Tolerances and their justifications.
The Customer Requirements (CRs) are the necessary parameters that the project needs to meet to satisfy the customer's needs. The figure above is a list of the nine CRs that the team has weighted according to significance.
The team has developed a plan to test the ERs listed above which can be referenced back into the House of Qualities, located below.
The Design Links reference the House of Qualities and defines the parameters that need to be met when creating a functional design.
The team used a House of Quality (HoQ) in order to help distinguish how the CRs and ERs correlate. The HoQ gives secondary weightings to the chart and is a simple way to determine which CRs and ERs are most important to the scope of the project.
