Problem Statement
The team will design, analyze, and construct a model airplane to enter into the SAE Aero Design West Competition Advanced class. the aircraft must be fully-functional and reamin intact for a full flight circuit.
Requirements
Data Acquisition System(DAS) that measures takeoff and landing distance
No metal propeller
Braking system
Pilot must be AMA certified
Rotary or lighter than aircraft not permitted
Fuel must be common grade required by competition
Stored potential energy other than engine is not allowed
Aircraft may not be pushed manually by a team member to achieve takeoff
