The Project...
Design and build a remote controlled aircraft for competition in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Student Aero Design West in the advanced class. The design process requires outside participation. The final product must be transportable as the competition is out of state. The competition is held annually and requires that travel and lodging arrangements be made for the design team member, aircraft, and faculty advisor. This year’s competition will be held in Fort Worth, TX from March 18-20.The competition is objectively judged primarily on weight carrying capacity of the aircraft relative to its overall weight.
2011 UnderGraduate Research and Design Symposium
Located on south campus at the du Bois center of Northern Arizona University. Our team will be presenting at 8:30 AM in the Agassiz room April 29, 2011. All are welcome to attend, our poster will be on display on the second floor after lunch.
