Problem Statement:

The United States Air Force has found instances where aircrafts have returned to the base with missiles missing a wing.  Raytheon has investigated the problem with inconclusive results.  To aid in solving the problem Raytheon and the U.S. Air Force have created the Tri-University Competition to contract students from Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, and University of Arizona.  The competition involves troubleshooting the root cause of the problem, formulation of a solution, and presentation of the solution to both Raytheon and the U.S. Air Force.
