Modeling
Four different models were created to test different dampening methods. The four models were 1/8 scale galvanized steel pipe.  Each pipe was welded to a 5" x 5" steel plate. The different methods of dampening used on each pipe were:

- Adding mass by applying a rubber coating(10 grams added).

- Square stiffening bar welded to midpoint of can.

- Rubber washers placed on the top and bottom of the mounting plate.

- Spring mass system added to the top of the can.

Once the models were constructed vibration testing was performed. Vibrations were induced by an impulse shock. The vibration data was collected through the use of an accelerometer and a data acquisition card. The data was then filtered with a Butterworth filter and integrated to generate the following displacement graphs.
