We are electrical engineering students working on out capstone project at Northern Arizona University. The length of our project will be from Fall '22 to Spring '23.  We hope that with the success of our project, future students will be able to make great use of the STM.

Scanning Tunneling Microscopes (STM) are helpful instruments used in research to be able to obtain atomic-scale images of metal surfaces. STMs can be very expensive, which is why the purpose of this project is to work on creating this device at a lower cost to be used in an academic laboratory called the Complex Electronic Systems Laboratory at Northern Arizona University.
