Testing

1) Tested software for serial communication between 2 computers.

· This test was accomplished by using a null modem cable strung between the serial ports on two computers. We used our test program to send information to one computer and back to the other computer.

2) Tested communication between computer and one transceiver.

· We used our program to communicate with the first transceiver test circuit to make sure our communication protocols were correct.

3) Tested transceiver communications between 2 transceivers.

· We programmed two transceivers and made sure they could communicate with each other over the wireless link.

4) Used software to determine delay from transceiver to transceiver, and transceiver to computer.

· We used our test software to measure the delay between transceivers. This was accomplished by setting one transceiver to relay back whatever was sent to it. The delay for the total round trip time could then be measured inside our software.
