Wattch Your Power, Wattch Your Impact.
01
The Problem
Buildings in the U.S. consume 76% of all electricity and account
for 40% of total CO₂ emissions. Despite global efforts, the gap between
actual climate performance and decarbonization goals continues to widen. Universities
and organizations need effective ways to monitor energy usage and influence behavior
to reduce carbon footprints.
02
The Solution
Our project aims to develop a mobile application that provides real-time energy consumption
insights and actionable recommendations. This app will integrate with Willow's data platform
to display energy trends, send alerts for peak consumption, and gamify energy-saving behaviors
among students and staff. By leveraging real-time data, the app will drive awareness and influence sustainable habits.
03
Our Motivation
Sustainability is a growing concern, and we believe technology can empower individuals
to make a difference. By providing real-time data and incentives, we hope to encourage
energy-efficient behavior in university communities. This project aligns with global
efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supports institutions in lowering their energy costs.
04
Expected Outcome
Increased awareness of energy consumption and emissions impact.
Behavioral changes that lead to more energy-efficient practices.
Reduced energy costs for Our institutions
Measurable reduction in carbon emissions through informed decision-making.
A scalable app that can be adapted for broader sustainability initiatives.
