We are Compiled Hive, and our capstone project will aim to develop a software tool to address visualization and configuration methods to cause less stress on the user. In particular, we envision a GUI-based desktop application running in a Linux environment that serves as a comprehensive, easy to use graphical interface “wrapper” for the underlying suite of open-source tools for multiple-drones in autonomous flight.
The main requirements in this project include a device that has a linux distribution, as well as a ROS (Robot Operating System) installed on the linux distribution.
Drones overall will be more impactful than I think people recognize, in positive ways to help society.
