Project Location

Papago Mine is located about 50 miles north of Yuma, Arizona. The approximate coordinates for this site are 33°05'29"N 114°35'55.5"W. It is about three miles east of the Colorado River and the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. It lies directly west of the Red Cloud Mine Road, private land is east to the road. The Red Cloud Mine is about 2 miles north northwest of the Papago Mine. The jurisdiction of the Papago mine currently falls under BLM. There are no nearby residences at the site, and the terrain is mountainous with broad hills.

Project Constraints

The main project constraints that need to be considered are limited time and available cost for the project. Also, due to the current pandemic COVID-19 inperson meetings and field work will be restricted to follow the COVID-19 guidelines.
