The order to complete final design is creating flood map, figuring out the depth of flood area, evaluation value of unit area and calculate the total economic lost. According to the formula ( project information page), to assess the economic loss of the dam, the property value in submerged area, w, and the rate of property loss caused by dam-break, α, should be obtained. The property value in submerged area is obtained through social economic survey. The rate of property loss caused by dam-break, α, is determined by the severity of the flood, namely the water depth, velocity and duration. The property loss rate is usually obtained through the investigation of historical flood events. At present, the historical date of the economic loss of dam break is very short, and it is very difficult to determine the rate of property loss caused by dam-break. Dam breaking floods are different from general floods.

Impact Area
The total flood area is approximately 300 acre. It include According to the Land Values 2017 Summary Report from USDA, the Arizona average cropland value is 8,400 USD per acre in 2017. The average value of building is 81 USD per square ft. The total value of building is 25576 USD. The total economic value in the down stream is approximately 25576 USD.
However based on the HEC-RAS analysis for the cross section, the depth in agriculture field is 0.35 ft. It means there is no flood in cropland and building area.
