Project Purpose
The purpose of the Adsorptive Capacity of Orange Peels and Zero Valent Iron for Water Treatment project is to find the efficiency of orange peels and zero valent iron for removal of uranium and arsenic from water. The goal is to conduct research in order to determine the maximum chemical concentrations the orange peels and zero valent iron can treat prior to exhaustion. Overall, this project will provide further data that supports this inexpensive and unique method for arsenic and uranium removal. This project is a continuation of the Low-Cost Water Filtration capstone project completed from the previous capstone year.
